Park Guell, Barcelona, Spain
I visited Barcelona with my brother in 2012. Park Guell was the favorite places in Barcelona and to this day, it's one of my favorite places in the entire world. The buildings that flank the entrance are fantastical and you will feel as if you are walking into a fairytale. This park is one of the most magnificent places I've ever been.
Park Guell is an enormous park with stunning and distinct architectural elements designed by the renowned Catalan architect, Antoni Gaudi. in the early 20th century. It's well known for its unique style of Trencadis, a mosaic created by small piece of broken ceramic. The focal point of the park is the main terrace, surrounded by a long bench in the form of a sea serpent. The curves of the serpent bench form a number of enclaves, creating a more social atmosphere. Park Guell is designed to bring the peace and calm that one would expect from a park. In addition to the stunning architecture, the park supports a wide variety of wildlife, notably several of the non-native species of parrot found in the Barcelona area.
Park Guell is a UNESCO World Heritage Site
